An avid brewer & judge, Sean is a multi-award winning brewer, BJCP National Judge, & Advanced Cicerone® He dove into the hobby while living in a dry county in Kentucky and grew tired of driving to West Virginia & Ohio to buy beer.  He has had the opportunity to brew two Best of Show winning homebrews with professional breweries including a Pro-Am entry to the GABF with F.X. Matt/Saranac Brewing in Utica, NY.  As a national beer judge, Sean actively judges throughout the east coast of the United States & Eastern Canada while helping to grade BJCP and Advanced Cicerone® exams.  He is a regular judge at the Great American Beer Festival and is passionate about beer education .  While he loves all styles, he has a particular love for Belgian and German beer.

Description 

The Ballyhook Flyer is amber in color with a nose of red apples, orange peel, cinnamon and caramel. It is a medium bodied cider with fine tannins that are concentrated on the finish. The carbonation is kept low so as to accentuate the fruit flavors and it possesses lovely crispness which helps carry the flavors as well as creating a refreshing mouthfeel.

Description 

Introducing Zero-Zero, a bigger, bolder version of our Low Viz IPA. Brewed with a blend of El Dorado, Amarillo, Citra, and Comet, this DIPA is brimming with tropical fruit, tangerine, and vibrant candy straw flavors. In the aviation world, Zero-Zero refers to atmospheric conditions characterized by zero visibility in both horizontal and vertical directions. This beer gets its ultra hazy appearance and soft mouthfeel from heavy additions of flaked wheat and locally-grown malted wheat from Riverbend Malt House.
