No Mates - Nelson Sauvin, Astro Lab Brewing
Description

The Nelson Sauvin edition of our No Mates Single Hop Series perfectly showcases the flavors of the land from which these amazingly flavorful hops came from in New Zealand. Bright notes of citrus fruit and white grape hit the nose contrasting with piney resinous flavors that standout on the palate. A complex beer, No Mates with Nelson Sauvin has a dry, soft mouthfeel that evolves into a finish that is semi dank with moderate bittering and lingering flavors of citrus.

This beer poured clear orange with a thick white head that dissipated quickly. The initial and persistent aroma was bitterly hoppy without any floral or fruity elements. The taste evidenced both malt, though without any discernible or notable characters, and the same bitter hoppiness experienced... Read More

This Coffee Stout was in many ways typical of the style, though slightly less robust in its coffee aroma and flavor than certain other examples of the style. In appearance, this beer poured an opaque black topped by a thin white head. Intense coffee aromas and flavors dominated the malt and hops... Read More
