Lazy Hazy Housy by Great Falls Brewing Co. is being evaluated using the new 2021 BJCP style guidelines, Category 21C for Hazy IPA. As per the style, it pours hazy but not murky with a beautiful tangerine color and a mousse-like, off-white head that lingers.

Dominating tropical hop flavors greet the drinker in both the nose and taste. They're more focused on tangerine and grapefruit characteristics with additional support from kumquat, lychee and a bit of floral. As it warmed, a vanilla note emerged. Restrained wheat, honey malt with a hint of toastiness provided texture to the beer. Not too surprising, it's a hop-forward beer with low overall bitterness but with absolutely no hop burn, which can sometimes be associated with hazy IPAs. Medium-high carbonation and a full, fluffy body of the beer with only a hint of alcohol make it quite quaffable.

This beer is delicious and delectable, and it could easily be a staple of your beer fridge. The subtle malt notes complement the melange of citrus notes without any hop burn to the beer. A high-quality beer with my only critique being that maybe it isn't complex enough; a quibble for sure.
