Judge's Review: 82 Rating - Get Buzzed by 6th and La Brea Brewery and Restaurant

Get Buzzed by 6th and La Brea Brewery and Restaurant falls under the category of 35B under Mixed Style as this is listed as a Golden Ale with Honey. The aroma of this beer was evident with an explosion of honey and sweetness. Their was no hops detected, okay for style. The beer poured a straw-like color with very nice carbonation and head retention.  The flavor of this beer was all about honey honey and more honey. I've had a few honey related beers before that were almost subtle or difficult to detect the flavor, however, this is not the case with this beer. This beer is loaded with honey... perhaps too much ?  It was overtly sweet and dominated the beer itself. I really didn't get any hop flavors, as it is hops play a minor role in the background. The mouthfeel of this beer was medium with a light carbonation. The aftertaste of this beer lingered in the palate with it's sweetness and finished a little dry.
