Night Shift Brewing Doubles Footprint with 30,000 sq. ft. Warehouse

Night Shift Brewing, one of the hottest breweries in New England, has announced plans to lease a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Chelsea, MA. A mere five minutes from the brewery location in Everett, MA, this warehouse allows Night Shift to effectively double its output -- keeping the production element at the Everett brewery and storage of packaged beers and raw ingredients at the Chelsea warehouse.

This news follows in the footsteps of Night Shift's announcement a few weeks ago that it secured a $3 million loan to significantly expand its production this year and double it again in 2017. In 2016, the brewery's production is already up 181 percent, and the new warehouse, which features 10,000 sq. ft. of cold storage, 10,000 sq. ft. of dry storage and 10,000 sq. ft. of office space, will allow the brewery to increase its growth and distribution footprint to an even more impressive degree.

The cold storage, in particular, allows the brewery to keep its beer fresh for a significantly longer period of time. "We want to sell beer that always tastes fresh," noted Night Shift co-founder Michael Oxton in a press release. "All of our beer will be packaged cold, stored cold, and, if it's not going through the Taproom, self-distributed in our refrigerated box trucks. Maintaining a complete cold chain beer life-cycle is paramount in our commitment to quality beer."

The new warehouse will also allow the brewery to improve its Everett location by adding a temperature-controlled barrel room, cold storage space and a possible expansion in the future.
