Stone Brewmaster Mitch Steele Departs to Start New Brewery

Mitch Steele, Stone Brewing Company's Brewmaster for over 10 years, will be stepping down and starting a new brewery at the end of June.
In a video posted on the brewery's YouTube page (simply titled "Mitch"), Steele explains that he was approached by "industry vets" to discuss leaving Stone and starting a new venture.
A replacement will not be hired immediately, as a team of six current Stone employees will take over Steele's day-to-day duties.
Steele's departure follows Stone founder and CEO Greg Koch's, who transitioned to the role of executive chairman last September.
