Beer Here: Modern Times Aurora

Modern Times Beer, one of many popular and acclaimed breweries in San Diego, has announced its fall seasonal: Aurora Red Rye IPA.

As an alternative to the innumerable Oktoberfest and Pumpkin beers that saturate the market this time of year, Modern Times has created a hoppy, spicy IPA that pours an attractive ruby color. 

Aurora is available now in the Modern Times taproom, and cans will be released in the next week. Here is the press release from Modern Times:

Fall is only a few weeks away from making its official arrival, and temperatures are finally starting to cool down. The coming of the cooler season also means it's time for a new canned seasonal release! When deciding what to brew as our fall can release, one thing was certain-- we didn't want to crowd the shelves with yet another mediocre squash inspired seasonal. With that in mind, we landed on Aurora, our red rye IPA.

At 6.7%, Aurora is the perfect marriage between autumnal spice flavors and fresh SoCal inspired hop-notes. The fruity dankness imparted by the Equinox, Centennial, Motueka, and Experimental 07270 hops complements the hefty (and spice driven) dose of rye incorporated in its malt build. Aurora pours a vibrant ruby red, reminiscent of crisp fall leaves or the fresh blood of a unicorn.

Aurora will be available in both of our tasting rooms. Expect to see Aurora cans in the wild, where you've previously found our seasonal can releases in the next couple weeks.
