Indulge in the Flavorful World of Bacon with Evil Genius Beer Co. and Bake'N Bacon's Limited-Edition Beer

Philadelphia's food truck scene was never the same after Bake'N Bacon rolled out its bacon-inspired menu in 2019. With their new restaurant located at 1148 S. 11th Street, the sizzling team at Bake'N Bacon has taken things up a notch by partnering with Evil Genius Beer Company to create a truly iconic product. The result is a limited-edition, bacon-inspired beer called Tast-E Bacon.

“When we heard about a bacon themed food truck we knew we had to try it. So we invited the guys from Bake’n Bacon out to a food truck festival at the brewery and instantly hit it off. Between both of our delicious offerings and iconic branding we knew we could make something truly unique”, said Trevor Hayward, co-founder of Evil Genius.

Evil Genius Beer Co is renowned for its quirky beer names and hilarious memes. The Philadelphia-based brewers have collaborated with top brands like Auntie Anne's, White Castle, and Sheetz in the past. Now, Evil Genius is teaming up with Bake'N Bacon to bring you Tast-E Bacon, a 5.0% ABV ale that's brewed with smoked malt for that sweet bacon flavor. It's lightly hopped to let the addition of all-natural chocolate and strawberry flavors shine through. And here's the best part: no actual bacon was used in the brewing process, so the beer is suitable for everyone to enjoy, regardless of their dietary restrictions.

“2023 has been an exciting year for us”, said Bake’n Bacon founder Justin Coleman. “We’re opening our first brick-and-mortar restaurant in South Philadelphia later this Spring and we get to debut our first beer collaboration along with it. This collaboration has been super fun and we are so excited for everyone to try it. We also can't wait to pour it at our bar when our restaurant opens in South Philly later this spring or summer. Tast-E Bacon will be available starting on April 22nd at Evil Genius and Bake'N Bacon's upcoming block party. The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and features live music from the Lenahan Band, free axe throwing courtesy of ThrowHouse, face painting, the Bake'n Bacon food truck and more.

At the block party, Bake'N Bacon will be serving up some of their most popular dishes, including The Bacon Crunch, The Bacon Buffalo, The Bacon BBQ, The Bacon Jalapeño, The Bacon Ranch, The Bacon Mac, The Bacon Brisket, The Bacon Trio, The Bacon Pesto, The Sweet Brisket, Loaded Fries, Mac Motherload and Loaded Mac. These bacon-centric dishes are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

After the block party, Tast-E Bacon will be available for a limited time in four packs of 16-oz cans exclusively at Evil Genius. The ale will also be available on tap and in cans at Bake'N Bacon's new restaurant when it opens later this spring.
