190 Years of Waldhaus: The First German Traditional Brewery in Web3

The award-winning Black Forest private brewery Waldhaus is setting sail towards the future. As the first traditional German brewery and one of the first in Europe, Waldhaus is entering Web3. For its 190th anniversary, it is launching its own 3D NFT collection with 190 digital collector's items with scintillating benefits for NFT holders under the sub-brand "Waldhaus ONE." The strategy seems to be working: Almost 20% of the sales value was generated in the first 24 hours after the launch.

As the first German traditional brewery and one of the first beer brands ever, Waldhaus is now bringing its own 3D NFT collection to the market, positioning itself as an agile mover in the marketplace. The private brewery from the southern Black Forest has always stood for excellence, quality and innovation. For its 190th anniversary this year, it is expanding its broad range of award-winning beers with NFTs - limited digital collectibles in Web3 - all built around the world’s favorite drink. 

Exclusive NFT collection with animated Waldhaus beers 

In collaboration with the branding and digital agency W3 digital brands from Konstanz, the brewery is launching its own 3D NFT collection on the digital marketplace OpenSea under the sub-brand "Waldhaus ONE." This is accompanied by a specially created microsite and an attention-grabbing social media campaign. Under the motto "Be ONE of 190", 190 NFTs with the first drop can be purchased to coincide with the 190th anniversary. The five different versions with varying rarity values show an artfully animated Waldhaus bottle that shatters into hundreds of pieces, is enveloped in a green mossy cloak, or bounces elastically up and down like a rubber ball. 

Creating brand enthusiasm in Web3

Some fans even go so far as to get Waldhaus logos tattooed on themselves. They not only drink our beer, but they also identify with the brand.
