Pontoon Brewing Unveils Newest Cereal Beer: Charm Bomb Lucky Charms Irish Sweet Stout

Pontoon Brewing in Sandy Springs, Georgia has announced its newest cereal-inspired beer: Charm Bomb, a Lucky Charms Irish sweet stout. Full details are below.

You may have heard of Rainbow Smiggles--Pontoon Brewing’s famous candy and cereal sour that took the internet by storm in the Spring of 2020--but get ready for their newest experimental cereal brew!

Charm Bomb is an Irish Sweet Stout with Lucky Charms cereal, marshmallows, Irish cream, vanilla, and lactose. Inspired by a traditional Irish Slammer cocktail, this fun and experimental take on an Irish Stout is perfect for any St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Irish cream and sweet marshmallow beautifully balance the dry and roasty coffee notes from the traditional Irish Stout base.

“Even if you don’t know us for our crazy, fun styles of beer we like to brew, you might know us for our incredible label art,” says Ali Shiraef, Marketing Coordinator. “A local Atlanta artist, Meg Ryan Flanigan, created this fantastic label for us. It includes an explosion of otters dressed as leprechauns, gold coins, and of course, Lucky Charms inspired marshmallows. We love get creative with our beer and our label artwork is no exception—especially for Charm Bomb!”

“We’re trying to keep the market well provided with interesting new flavors month after month,” says Pontoon Brewing’s Head Brewer, Chris Baratz. “Because of that, we like to push the limits and go to extremes to keep the brewers and customers excited about each new release with our own Pontoon spin on traditional styles.” 

Pontoon Brewing began this year with a significant rebrand of their year-round offerings—New Wave Premium Ale, Crushing Waves Georgia Weisse, and One Ski IPA—while also adding a new juicy DIPA named Aquatronic. Pontoon also plans on expanding their LTO program by continuing to brew fun and creative releases monthly as well as more traditional styles seasonally.
