The India Pale Ale Southern Tier brews is their version of a brewing legacy. IPA’s name hails from its colonial roots. British soldiers in India didn’t have access to fresh beer, and the malty ales they attempted to take onboard their ships would soon go stale. By adding generous amounts of hops, they found the beers would better survive the voyage, thus a new style was born. It is a beer with a vigorous hop profile, well-balanced malt background, and medium body. At Southern Tier, their IPA is an intrepid ale, triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a truly aromatic experience. Particularly tasty with dry rubbed bbq, red meat, burgers, curries & spicy foods, pizza and wings.
