The moderate bittersweet chocolate grows slightly as it hits mid-palate and is joined by a medium hop bitterness that lingers into a fairly dry finish. The chocolate character is supported by a medley of bready malt characters, gentle herbal hops and a hint of dark roasted coffee. A light roast appears in the aftertaste to round out the experience. The chocolate character is present without being overbearing. Most of the other flavor characteristics are subtle, but combine to provide a slight complexity to the balance. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a very light alcohol warming.
