Budweiser makes first driverless shipment using Uber's Otto

In a monumental leap forward in autonomous trucking, on October 20 Anheuser-Busch successfully completed the worlds first driverless shipment trucking palettes of beer from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, Colorado with a distance exceeding 120 miles. Uber's autonomous trucking division, Otto, completed the journey with its specially equipped truck. A driver remained in the cabin, but out of the driver seat for the entire trip.

Anheuser-Busch states that it ships over 1.2 million truckloads annually and is always looking for innovation, and that Otto is the next step forward.
